With the weather getting warmer it’s the perfect time to fire up the Blackstone griddle and cook some amazing foods.

The great thing about the Blackstone griddle is that you can cook a variety of different recipes on it. Let’s get started making some delicious recipes on the griddle.

Tips For Using Blackstone Griddle

You should season your griddle before using it. You can get the complete steps from the Blackstone website.

Seasoning helps the griddle last a long time and ensures that your foods don’t stick which would create a huge mess.

The first thing you will need to do is wash the griddle with soap and water. This will remove dirt from the shipping.

Next, after the griddle is clean you will turn the burners on and heat the griddle for about 12-15 minutes. Turn the burners off after heated.

Add oil all over the griddle in a thin coat. Wipe it in with a paper towel. Too thick of a coat will lead to chipping and a build-up on your griddle.

Turn the burners back on and you will see the griddle top turn black and it will smoke. That is okay, when it stops smoking you can then turn the burners off.

You will repeat the steps a couple of times until the griddle top is dark brown. Once you are done all the steps you will need to let the griddle cool down and then top with Blackstone non-stick griddle spray. In between cooking you can also add that spray to the griddle.

I use olive oil or vegetable oil on my griddle. You can also use canola oil, flax, shortening, Blackstone griddle seasoning, or cast iron conditioner.

Store the griddle in a cool dry place.

1 cup of blueberries

Directions:

  • In a bowl combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Mix around.
  • In another bowl add the egg and milk. Beat them together.

  • Let the batter rest for 5 minutes

  • Continue cooking on the other side until done.

2 eggs

1/2 cup onion

2 teaspoons minced garlic

Salt and Pepper to taste

3 Tablespoons of soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil
