Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Ketchup
  • 2 Teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon Parsley Flakes
  • 1 Teaspoon Cilantro Flakes

Instructions

  • The first thing you need to do is gather all your ingredients so that you have everything close by.
  • In a bowl add all the ingredients ketchup, apple cider vinegar, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, parsley flakes, and cilantro flakes.
  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Heat the sauce in a pan.
  • Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low.
  • Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken. Stir occasionally.
  • Use the sauce immediately on your meats or cool down and store to use later.

Notes

  • Store your sauce in the fridge if you will not be using it right away.
  • Make sure to cook the BBQ sauce before using it. Let it simmer.
  • Wait until about 10 minutes are left in your cooking time before adding the BBQ sauce to your meats. In this way, the sauce will glaze on the meats, without burning.
  • For a spicy sauce add red pepper flakes to the recipe.
