Farmhouse Brown & Wild Rice With Garden Vegetables: you will need 2 packages of farmhouse brown and wild rice with garden vegetables for this recipe.

Water and Butter: you will be adding this to the rice.

Celery: 2 sticks of celery are needed.

Green and Red Pepper: 1 small red and green pepper used. Adds color to this festive recipe.

Onion: 1 small onion is needed for this recipe.

Cranberry: 2 small packages of 1 oz. cranberries. The cranberries and raisins give this recipe a sweet and tangy delicious flavor.

Raisins: also used 2 small packages of 1 oz. raisins.

  • The first thing you need to do when making this recipe is to gather all the ingredients you need so that you have them close by. This makes everything easy to prepare and then you don’t have to spend time looking for the ingredients that you need.
  • Next, you will prep everything that needs cutting.
  • Cut celery, green, red peppers, and onion into small pieces. Set aside.
  • Next, you will fill a large pot with water and then add the rice, seasoning mix that comes with the rice, and butter into the pot. Stir around to combine all the ingredients. Do not cover the pot. (Follow stove top directions on the package).

  • Bring the water and rice to a boil and then lower the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid. Let it cook for about 25 minutes or until all the water is absorbed.
  • Next, heat a large frying pan with a small amount of oil.
  • Then add the onions to the frying pan and cook for 2 minutes. Now, add celery, green, red peppers and cook for 2 more minutes.
