I have to admit I used instant pudding mix in this recipe along with other ingredients, but it still turned out tasty with that pumpkin flavor that we are looking for.

I used 100% canned pumpkin for this recipe, not pumpkin pie filling. Canned pumpkin is pumpkin that has been cooked and pureed. While pumpkin pie filling is flavored with added spices and other ingredients.

Cover tightly with plastic wrap pressed down or store in an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Yes, you can freeze pudding. Keep in mind that some puddings will not freeze as well as others. The texture might change after freezing. If you are going to freeze pudding you can freeze in an airtight container or in freezer bags. You can also freeze them in popsicle trays.
