I never could find a good pork chop sauce that I really liked, so I decided to make my own marinade.

It took a while to come up with the best combination of spices but I think I found the right mix.

This recipe uses the right amount of ingredients to bring out the flavor in the pork chops.

How Long To Marinate For

You should marinate the pork chops for a minimum of 2 hours. I like to marinate my pork chops overnight. It brings out the flavor the longer you let them marinate.

The marinade can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Can You Freeze The Marinade

Yes, you can freeze the marinade for up to 2 months.

How Do I Know When The Pork Chops Are Cooked

The best way to check when pork chops are done is to use a thermometer.

Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the pork chop.

The USDA recommends that pork chops be cooked to 145 F. You should let the pork chops rest for at least 3 minutes before cutting into them.

How To Make Homemade Pork Chop Marinade

  • The first thing you need to do is gather all your ingredients so that you have everything close by.
  • In a bowl add all the ingredients soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, parsley flakes, cilantro flakes, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  • Whisk all the ingredients together.
  • Place the pork chops in a bowl or plastic zip-lock gallon bag.
  • Pour the marinade over them.
  • Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours to overnight.
  • If you use plastic bags, I like to flip the pork chops occasionally to get the flavors in there.
  • You can do the same thing if you use a bowl, stir the pork chops around once in a while.

Cooking Pork Chops On The Stovetop

To cook pork chops on the stove you need to:

  • Heat a pan on medium-high heat. When the pan is hot add the pork chops to it.
  • Cook on one side without moving until they are browned, This will take about 3-5 minutes depending on the size of the pork chops.
  • Flip them over and continue cooking on the other side until done.
  • Remove them when done cooking and let them rest for 3-10 minutes.

  • After removing the pork chops from the refrigerator after marinating them. Let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Also, let the pork chops rest for 3-10 minutes before cutting into them.
