How To Make One-Pot Spaghetti

  • The first thing to do is to gather all the ingredients so that you have everything that you need close by.
  • Heat a large pot and add ground beef. Break apart chunks, stirring around the meat as it cooks. Cook until no longer pink but browned.
  • Once browned you will drain out the grease and then return to the stove.
  • Add the minced garlic and stir around. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Next, add the mushrooms and stir around well. Cook for an additional minute.
  • Now add the pasta sauce and beef broth. Stir around well. Add salt according to your taste and stir.
  • Break the spaghetti noodles in half and add them to the sauce, make sure they are covered by the liquid. Push them down into the liquid and move them around a bit so they don’t stick together.
  • Bring to a boil. After boiling reduce the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the noodles are soft and the liquid is absorbed. Make sure to continue to stir the spaghetti noodles frequently so they don’t stick together.
  • Top with cilantro, parsley, and parmesan cheese.
  • Your dish is now ready to enjoy.

Can I Use Other Ingredients

I get this question a lot and here are some of my suggestions for substitutions.

Meat: I used ground beef for this recipe. Substitute the ground beef for ground turkey. You can also make it meatless by removing the ground beef.

Spices: I like to top with parsley and cilantro but that is up to you.

Garlic: If you don’t have minced garlic you can use a clove of whole garlic. Cut the garlic into small pieces. You would need to cook the garlic a bit before adding the rest of the ingredients if you will be using a whole clove of garlic.

Spicy: You can use red pepper flakes or hot sauce to make the meat sauce spicy.

What To Serve With

There are a lot of things that go well with spaghetti. Some suggestions are:

Garlic Bread- This recipe goes great with a fresh piece of garlic bread.

Salad- Whip up a fresh salad and enjoy with this spaghetti recipe.

Vegetables- Enjoy with broccoli, brussel sprouts, or another vegetable.

Toast– If you don’t have garlic bread you can toast some bread, spread it with butter, and eat it with the spaghetti.

This one-pot spaghetti recipe is easy to make and a delicious meal the whole family can enjoy. No more wasting time making the meat sauce and the spaghetti noodles separately. Just add everything into one pot and you are ready to go, which makes cleaning up hassle-free.
